When I was designing the Pussy I had a tremendous desire to put it in front of people and see the reaction; to know what people think and even the conversations it generates.

The vase is a discursive piece and to some extent it can be controversial; but that's what design is all about; it's a tool for thinking. Without realising it, we end up talking about subjects that perhaps we wouldn't dare to if it weren't for the excuse that it's right in front of you.

We are aware of the stigmas and prejudices that surround sexuality. Humans are sexual beings by default and this plays a big role in our daily lives, so having so many taboos that we are even afraid to talk about it freely only worsens our life experience. That is why I firmly believe that talking about it deliberately contributes to our education.

Pussy is a real icebreaker when it comes to talking about sexuality.
